Congratulations to Jesse Sandoval, Brian Bruhn and Jacob Bruhn!

Saturday, June 14th, 2008 marked the first showing of Training Ground students at a grappling tournament. Held in Moreno Valley at ASG Training Facility.

As expected our guys did very well. After only a week of training, the courageous and fearless Brian Bruhn, 15 yrs. old. decided to compete in the tournament and had two fights. Brian gained points for a takedown and getting side control and successfully defended an attempted guillotine choke  in his first fight. Although he did not place in this tournament, it made him mad and he is going to be back for blood for the next one.

Jacob Bruhn had a total of four fights, placing second in his division after a very close final match with a champion wrestler. Jesse Sandoval was an animal. He rifled through his first three fights to be stopped in his fourth by a choke. If you see these guys, shake their hand and congratulate them on a job well done. It was a great representation of ability and sportsmanship from The Training Ground.
