Pablo Cordova joins Training Ground Academy Team to gear up for upcoming fight.
Pablo Cordova came to the Training Ground Thursday night at 7:30 pm to polish some of his stand-up and ground skills in preparation for his upcoming fight at Ring of Fire Mixed Martial arts on Saturday 31 May 2008. Pablo has an amateur record of 2-0-0 in the heavyweight division. The May 31 fight will mark his debut as light heavyweight.
"Pablo is a good friend of mine and I was very happy to hear from him" says Training Ground owner Martin Walker. "I am always happy to work with a fighter if I think I can do them some good." Walker added.
With two weeks to go before the fight Walker worked with Cordova on ring strategy, game plans and light sparring.
"Pablo looks very good, like he is good to go." Walker says.
Cordova plans on coming to the Training Ground as much as possible in the upcoming days before the fight.
